Corrie Ten Boom is one of my heroes. We are watching the Hiding Place with my older ones tonight and talking about deep heart issues of tribal hatred, forgiveness and true freedom. How freedom is not based on any seminar or reconciliation act. You don’t get a certificate of completion for it. It comes from within and the grace to forgive is His alone. I am in the middle of a mad writing frenzy with my current book so I might be a bit sporadic here for the next few weeks. There are only so many hours in the day and my 120 take up a good portion of them!
So from the lips of one who shares the painful lessons of God’s love and faithfulness in everything, I leave you with some wisdom from Corrie today that blesses my heart and challenges me to press in farther to trust than I ever have before:
“Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.”
“Worrying is carrying tomorrow’s load with today’s strength- carrying two days at once. It is moving into tomorrow ahead of time. Worrying doesn’t empty tomorrow of its sorrow, it empties today of its strength.”“It is not my ability, but my response to God’s ability, that counts.”“You can never learn that Christ is all you need, until Christ is all you have.”“There is no pit so deep, that God’s love is not deeper still.”“Love is larger than the walls which shut it in.”— Corrie Ten Boom
